কিন্তু, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমিই আমার বেষ্টনকারী ঢাল, আমার গৌরব, ও আমার মস্তক উত্তোলনকারী।

কিন্তু হে প্রভু, আপনিই আমার ঢালস্বরূপ। আপনি আমার গৌরব। প্রভু আপনি আমাকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ করেছেন!

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

আমি শয়ন করিলাম ও নিদ্রা গেলাম, আমি জাগ্রত হইলাম; কারণ সদাপ্রভু আমাকে ধারণ করেন।

আমি শুয়ে পড়ি এবং বিশ্রাম নিই এবং আমি জানি, আবার আমি জেগে উঠবো। কেন? কারণ প্রভু আমায় আবৃত করে থাকেন। প্রভু আমায় রক্ষা করেন!

I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.

আমি শান্তিতে শয়ন করিব, নিদ্রাও যাইব; কেননা, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমিই একাকী আমাকে নির্ভয়ে বাস করিতে দিতেছ।

আমি বিছানায় গিয়ে নির্বিঘ্নে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ি। কেন? কারণ, হে প্রভু, নিরাপদে ঘুমোবার জন্য আপনি আমাকে শুইয়ে দেন।

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

সদাপ্রভু, প্রাতঃকালে তুমি আমার রব শুনিবে; প্রাতে আমি তোমার উদ্দেশে [ প্রার্থনা ] সাজাইয়া চাহিয়া থাকিব।

হে প্রভু, প্রতিদিন সকালে আপনার সামনে আমার নৈবেদ্য রাখি এবং আপনার সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করি। প্রতিদিন সকালে আপনি আমার প্রার্থনা শোনেন।

O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

ঈশ্বর আমার ঢালধারী, তিনি সরলচিত্তদের ত্রাণকর্ত্তা।

যাদের হৃদয় সৎ তাদের ঈশ্বর সাহায্য করেন। তাই ঈশ্বর আমাকে রক্ষা করবেন।

My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার তাম্বুতে কে প্রবাস করিবে? তোমার পবিত্র পর্ব্বতে কে বসতি করিবে?

প্রভু, কে আপনার পবিত্র তাঁবুতে থাকতে পারে? কে আপনার পবিত্র পর্বতে থাকতে পারে?

O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

যে ব্যক্তি সিদ্ধ আচরণ ও ধর্ম্মকর্ম্ম করে, এবং হৃদয়ে সত্য কহে।

একমাত্র সেই ব্যক্তি যে পবিত্রভাবে জীবনযাপন করে, যে সৎ কাজ করে, যে অন্তর থেকে সত্য কথা বলে সেই আপনার পবিত্র পর্বতে বাস করতে পারে।

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

যে পরীবাদ জিহ্বাগ্রে আনে না, মিত্রের অপকার করে না, আপন প্রতিবাসীর দুর্নাম করে না।

এই ধরণের লোক, অন্যান্য মানুষ সম্পর্কে খারাপ কথা বলে না। সেই লোক তার প্রতিবেশীদের প্রতি খারাপ আচরণ করে না। সেই লোক, তার নিজের পরিবার সম্পর্কে লজ্জাজনক কিছু বলে না।

who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

যাহার দৃষ্টিতে পামর তুচ্ছনীয় হয়; যে সদাপ্রভুর ভয়কারীদিগকে মান্য করে, দিব্য করিলে ক্ষতি হইলেও অন্যথা করে না;

ঈশ্বরকে যারা ঘৃণা করে সেই লোক, তাদের সম্মান করে না। কিন্তু যারা প্রভুর সেবা করে, সেই লোক তাদের সম্মান প্রদর্শন করে। যদি সে প্রতিবেশীর কাছে কোন প্রতিশ্রুতি করে থাকে, তবে সে তার প্রতিশ্রুতি পালন করে।

in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

সুদের জন্য টাকা ধার দেয় না, নির্দ্দোষের বিরুদ্ধে উৎকোচ লয় না; এই সকল কর্ম্ম যে করে, সে কখনও বিচলিত হইবে না।

যদি সেই লোক কাউকে টাকা দেয়, সে সেই ঋণের জন্য সুদ চায় না। এমনকি সেই লোক, সহজ সরল মানুষের অমঙ্গল করার জন্য টাকা পয়সাও গ্রহণ করে না। যদি কোন লোক এই সৎ মানুষটির মত জীবনযাপন করে, তবে সে সর্বদাই ঈশ্বরের কাছে থাকবে।

who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

হে ঈশ্বর, আমাকে রক্ষা কর, কেননা আমি তোমার শরণ লইয়াছি।

হে ঈশ্বর, আমায় রক্ষা করুন। কারণ আমি আপনার ওপর নির্ভর করি।

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

আমি সদাপ্রভুকে বলিয়াছি তুমিই আমার প্রভু; তুমি ব্যতীত আমার মঙ্গল নাই।

আমি সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ করিব, তিনিই আমাকে মন্ত্রণা দিয়াছেন, রাত্রিতেও আমার চিত্ত আমাকে প্রবোধ দেয়।

আমি প্রভুর প্রশংসা করি, কারণ তিনি আমায় উত্তমরূপে শিক্ষাদান করেছেন। এমনকি নিশাকালে, তাঁর নির্দেশসমূহ তিনি আমার অন্তরের গভীরে রেখে যান।

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

আমি সদাপ্রভুকে নিয়ত সম্মুখে রাখিয়াছি; তিনি ত আমার দক্ষিণে, আমি বিচলিত হইব না।

ফাঁদে বদ্ধ হয়ে, আমি প্রভুর কাছে সাহায্য চাইলাম। হ্যাঁ, আমি আমার ঈশ্বরকে ডাকলাম। ঈশ্বর তাঁর মন্দিরে ছিলেন। তিনি আমার কন্ঠস্বর শুনতে পেলেন। তিনি আমার সাহায্যের জন্য কান্না শুনতে পেলেন।

In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.

তিনি ঊর্দ্ধ হইতে [হস্ত] বিস্তার করিলেন, আমাকে ধরিলেন, মহাজলরাশি হইতে আমাকে টানিয়া তুলিলেন;

প্রভু ওপর থেকে নীচে পৌঁছলেন এবং আমাকে রক্ষা করলেন। প্রভু আমাকে গভীর জল থেকে টেনে তুললেন।

তিনি আমাকে উদ্ধার করিলেন আমার বলবান শত্রু হইতে, আমার বিদ্বেষিগণ হইতে, কেননা তাহারা আমা অপেক্ষা শক্তিমান ছিল।

আমার শত্রুরা আমার চেয়ে শক্তিশালী ছিলো। ওই সব লোক আমায় ঘৃণা করেছে। আমার কাছে আমার শত্রুরা বেশ শক্তিশালীই ছিল, তাই ঈশ্বর আমায় রক্ষা করেছেন!

He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

তিনি তোমার মনোবাঞ্ছা পূর্ণ করুন, তোমার সমস্ত মন্ত্রণা সিদ্ধ করুন।

তুমি যা চাও, ঈশ্বর যেন তাই মঞ্জুর করেন। তিনি যেন, তোমার সব পরিকল্পনা সফল করেন।

May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!

সদাপ্রভু আমার পালক, আমার অভাব হইবে না।

প্রভুই আমার মেষপালক। আমার যা কিছু চাই, সবসময় আমি তা-ই নেব।

আমার দুঃখ ও আয়াসের প্রতি দৃষ্টিপাত কর, আমার সমস্ত পাপ ক্ষমা কর।

আমার প্রচেষ্টা ও সমস্যার দিকে দৃষ্টিপাত করুন। আমার সকল পাপ থেকে আমায় ক্ষমা করে দিন।

Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.

সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে লজ্জিত হইতে দিও না, কেননা আমি তোমাকে ডাকিয়াছি, দুষ্টগণ লজ্জিত হউক, পাতালে নীরব হউক।

প্রভু, আমি আপনার কাছে প্রার্থনা করেছি, তাই আমি হতাশ হবো না, মন্দ লোকেরা হতাশ হবে। ওরা নীরবে কবরে যাবে।

O Lord, let me not be put to shame, for I call upon you; let the wicked be put to shame; let them go silently to Sheol.

আমি তোমার কাছে আমার পাপ স্বীকার করিলাম, আমার অপরাধ আর গোপন করিলাম না, আমি কহিলাম, ‘আমি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে নিজ অধর্ম্ম স্বীকার করিব,’ তাহাতে তুমি আমার পাপের অপরাধ মোচন করিলে।

তখন আমি আমার সব পাপ প্রভুর কাছে স্বীকার করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম। প্রভু, আমি আপনাকে আমার পাপের কথা বলেছি। আমার কোন অপরাধ আমি লুকিয়ে রাখিনি এবং আপনি আমার সব পাপ ক্ষমা করে দিয়েছেন!

I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ''I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,'' and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.

দুষ্টের অনেক যাতনা হয়; কিন্তু যে ব্যক্তি সদাপ্রভুতে নির্ভর করে, সে দয়াতে বেষ্টিত হইবে।

মন্দ লোকদের কাছে অনেক যন্ত্রণা আসবে। কিন্তু যারা প্রভুতে আস্থা রাখে, তাঁর প্রকৃত ভালোবাসা তাদের ঘিরে থাকবে।

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

আমি সর্ব্বসময়ে সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ করিব; তাঁহার প্রশংসা নিরন্তর আমার মুখে থাকিবে।

সর্বদা আমি প্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই। আমার মুখ সর্বদাই তাঁর প্রশংসা করে।

আস্বাদন করিয়া দেখ, সদাপ্রভু মঙ্গলময়; ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি, যে তাঁহার শরণাপন্ন।

প্রভু কতখানি ভালো তা দেখাবার জন্য প্রভুর স্বাদ গ্রহণ কর। যে প্রভুর ওপর নির্ভর করে সে সত্যিই সুখী হয়।

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

যুবসিংহদের অনাটন ও ক্ষুধায় ক্লেশ হয়, কিন্তু যাহারা সদাপ্রভুর অন্বেষণ করে, তাহাদের কোন মঙ্গলের অভাব হয় না।

বলবান লোকরাও ক্ষুধার্ত এবং দুর্বল হয়ে পড়বে। কিন্তু যারা ঈশ্বরের কাছে সাহায্যের জন্য যাবে, তারা সব ভালো জিনিসই পাবে।

The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

মন্দ হইতে দূরে যাও, যাহা ভাল তাহাই কর; শান্তির অন্বেষণ ও অনুধাবন কর।

খারাপ কাজ করা বন্ধ করে দাও! ভালো কাজ কর। শান্তির জন্য কাজ কর। যতক্ষণ না শান্তি পাও, ততক্ষণ তার পেছনে ছুটে বেড়াও।

Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

ধার্ম্মিকের বিপদ অনেক, কিন্তু সেই সকল হইতে সদাপ্রভু তাহাকে উদ্ধার করেন।

ভালো লোকদের অনেক সমস্যা হতে পারে, কিন্তু প্রত্যেকটা সমস্যা থেকে প্রভু তাদের উদ্ধার করবেন।

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

তিনি দীপ্তির ন্যায় তোমার ধর্ম্ম, মধ্যাহ্নের ন্যায় তোমার বিচার প্রকাশ করিবেন।

প্রভু তোমার ধার্ম্মিকতা ও ন্যায়নীতি মধ্যাহ্নের সূর্যের মত উজ্জ্বল করুন।

He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

দুষ্ট ঋণ করিয়া পরিশোধ করে না, কিন্তু ধার্ম্মিক দয়াবান ও দানশীল।

একজন দুষ্ট লোক খুব তাড়াতাড়ি টাকা ধার করে, কিন্তু কখনও সেটা ফেরত দেয় না। কিন্তু ভালো লোক মুক্ত হাতে অপরকে দেয়।

The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives;

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

হরিণী যেমন জলস্রোতের আকাঙ্ক্ষা করে, তেমনি, হে ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রাণ তোমার আকাঙ্ক্ষা করিতেছে।

হরিণ যেমন ঝর্ণার জলের জন্য তৃষ্ণার্ত থাকে, সেইভাবে হে ঈশ্বর, আমার আত্মাও আপনার জন্য তৃষ্ণার্ত।

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

ঈশ্বরের জন্য, জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরেরই জন্য আমার প্রাণ তৃষ্ণার্ত্ত। আমি কখন আসিয়া ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাতে উপস্থিত হইব?

ঈশ্বরের জন্য, জীবিত ঈশ্বরের জন্য, আমার প্রাণ তৃষ্ণার্ত। কখন আমি গিয়ে ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করতে পারি?

ঈশ্বর আমাদের পক্ষে আশ্র‍য় ও বল। তিনি সঙ্কটকালে  অতি সুপ্রাপ্য সহায়।

ঈশ্বর আমাদের আশ্রয় এবং আমাদের শক্তির উৎস। সমস্যার সময় তাঁর মধ্যেই আমরা সব সাহায্য খুঁজে পাবো।

যাই ঘটুক না কেন, ঈশ্বর আমায় উদ্ধার করবেন এই আশায় আমার আত্মা ধৈর্য ধরে অপেক্ষা করছে। আমার পরিত্রাণ একমাত্র তাঁর কাছ থেকেই আসবে।

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

হে আমার প্রাণ, নীরবে ঈশ্বরেরই অপেক্ষা কর; কেননা তাঁহা হইতেই আমার প্রত্যাশা।

 আমাকে রক্ষা করবার জন্য আমার আত্মা ধৈর্য্য ধরে শুধুমাত্র ঈশ্বরের অপেক্ষা করছে! ঈশ্বর আমার একমাত্র আশা।

হে লোক সকল, সতত তাঁহাতে নির্ভর কর, তাঁহারই সম্মুখে তোমাদের মনের কথা ভাঙ্গিয়া বল; ঈশ্বরই আমাদের আশ্র‍য়।

হে লোক সকল, সর্বদাই ঈশ্বরের ওপর বিশ্বাস রাখো। তোমাদের সব সমস্যা ঈশ্বরকে বল। ঈশ্বরই আমাদের নিরাপদ আশ্রয়স্থল।

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

আর, হে প্রভু, দয়া তোমার, কারণ তুমিই প্রত্যেককে তাহার কর্ম্মানুরূপ ফল দিয়া থাক।

হে আমার প্রভু, আপনার ভালোবাসাই প্রকৃত ভালোবাসা। লোকে যে কাজ করে তার জন্যই আপনি তাকে পুরস্কার বা শাস্তি দেন।

and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি আমার ঈশ্বর; আমি সযত্নে তোমার অন্বেষণ করিব; আমার প্রাণ তোমার জন্য পিপাসু, আমার মাংস তোমার জন্য লালায়িত, শুষ্ক ও শ্রান্তিকর দেশে, জলবিহীন দেশে।

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

ঈশ্বর আমাদিগকে আশীর্ব্বাদ করিবেন, আর পৃথিবীর সমস্ত প্রান্ত তাঁহাকে ভয় করিবে।

ঈশ্বর যেন আমাদের আশীর্বাদ করেন। পৃথিবীর সমস্ত লোক যেন ঈশ্বরকে ভয় ও শ্রদ্ধা করে।

God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!

ধন্য প্রভু, যিনি দিন দিন আমাদের ভার বহন করেন; সেই ঈশ্বর আমাদের পরিত্রাণ।

প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর! দিনের পর দিন তিনি আমাদের ভার বহন করেন। ঈশ্বর আমাদের রক্ষা করেন!

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.

আমার মাংস ও আমার চিত্ত ক্ষয় পাইতেছে, তথাপি ঈশ্বর চিরকাল আমার চিত্তের শৈল ও আমার দায়াংশ।

আমার এই দেহ মন একদিন ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে, কিন্তু আমার শিলা, যাকে আমি ভালোবাসি তিনি থাকবেন। চিরকালের জন্য আমার কাছে ঈশ্বর আছেন!

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

দীনহীন ও দরিদ্রকে নিস্তার কর; দুষ্ট লোকদের হস্ত হইতে তাহাদিগকে উদ্ধার কর।

ওই সব অসহায় ও দরিদ্রদের সাহায্য কর। দুষ্ট লোকদের থেকে ওদের রক্ষা কর।

Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

প্রত্যূষে আমাদিগকে তোমার দয়াতে তৃপ্ত কর, যেন আমরা যাবজ্জীবন আনন্দ ও আহ্লাদ করি।

প্রত্যেক প্রভাতে আপনার প্রেমে আমাদের ভরিয়ে দিন। আমাদের সুখী হতে দিন, এ জীবনকে উপভোগ করতে দিন।

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

যে ব্যক্তি পরাৎপরের অন্তরালে থাকে, সে সর্ব্বশক্তিমানের ছায়াতে বসতি করে।

গুপ্ত আশ্রয় লাভের জন্য তুমি পরাৎপরের কাছে যেতে পারো। সুরক্ষার জন্য তুমি সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরের কাছে যেতে পারো।

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

আমি সদাপ্রভুর বিষয়ে বলিব, ‘তিনি আমার আশ্র‍য়, আমার দুর্গ, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তাঁহাতে নির্ভর করিব।’

আমি প্রভুকে বলেছি, “আপনিই আমার নিরাপদ আশ্রয়স্থল, আপনিই আমার দুর্গ। হে আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি আপনাকে বিশ্বাস করি।”

I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

হাঁ, তিনিই তোমাকে ব্যাধের ফাঁদ হইতে, ও সর্ব্বনাশক মারী হইতে রক্ষা করিবেন।

ভয়ঙ্কর ব্যাধি এবং গুপ্ত বিপদ থেকে ঈশ্বর তোমায় রক্ষা করবেন।

For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowle and from the deadly pestilence.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

প্রাতঃকালে তোমার দয়া, ও প্রতিরাতে তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা প্রচার করা উত্তম।

প্রাতঃকালে আপনার প্রেমের গান এবং নিশিকালে আপনার বিশ্বস্ততার গান গাওয়াই ভালো।

to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.

To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

সদাপ্রভু, তোমার কার্য্য সকল কেমন মহৎ। তোমার সঙ্কল্প সকল অতি গভীর।

 প্রভু, আপনি সেই সব মহত্‌ কাজ করেছেন। আপনার চিন্তা বুঝে ওঠা আমাদের পক্ষে অত্যন্ত কঠিন।

How great are your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep!

O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

কিন্তু, সদাপ্রভু, তুমি অনন্তকাল ঊর্দ্ধবাসী।

কিন্তু প্রভু, আপনি চিরদিনের জন্য সম্মানিত থাকবেন।

but you, O Lord, are on high forever.

But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.

সমস্ত পৃথিবী! সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে জয়ধ্বনি কর;

হে পৃথিবী, প্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে গান গাও!

সানন্দে সদাপ্রভুর সেবা কর; আনন্দগানসহ তাঁহার সম্মুখে আইস।

যখন তুমি প্রভুর সেবা কর তখন আনন্দিত থেকো! আনন্দ গীত গাইতে গাইতে প্রভুর সামনে এসো!

এটা জেনো যে প্রভুই ঈশ্বর। তিনিই আমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আমরা তাঁরই মেষের পাল।

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

মনুষ্য আপন কার্য্যে বাহির হয়, আর সায়ংকাল পর্য্যন্ত শ্রম করে।

তারপর লোকেরা যে যার কাজে যায় এবং তারা সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত কাজ করে।

Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.

তোমরা সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা কর; সদাপ্রভুর স্তব কর, কেননা তিনি মঙ্গলময়, তাঁহার দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।

প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর! প্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দাও কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময়! ঈশ্বরের প্রেম চিরন্তন!

কে সদাপ্রভুর বিক্রমের কার্য্য সকল বর্ণনা করিতে পারে? কে তাঁহার সমস্ত প্রশংসা প্রচার করিতে পারে?

ঈশ্বর যে প্রকৃতপক্ষে কত মহান তা কেউই বর্ণনা করে বলতে পারবে না। কোন ব্যক্তিই ঈশ্বরের যথেষ্ট প্রশংসা করতে পারে না।

Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord, or declare all his praise?

Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?

ধন্য তাহারা, যাহারা ন্যায় রক্ষা করে, ধন্য সে, যে সতত ধর্ম্মাচরণ করে।

যারা ঈশ্বরের নির্দেশ মানে তারা সুখী হয়। ওই সব লোক সর্বদাই ভালো কাজ করে।

Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!

সদাপ্রভুর স্তব কর, কেননা তিনি মঙ্গলময়, তাঁহার দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।

প্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দাও, কেননা তিনি মঙ্গলময়। তাঁর প্রেম চিরন্তন!

তোমরা সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা কর। ধন্য সেই জন, যে সদাপ্রভুকে ভয় করে, যে তাঁহার আজ্ঞাতে অতিমাত্র পীত হয়।

প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর! সেই ব্যক্তি যে প্রভুকে ভয় ও শ্রদ্ধা করে সে খুব সুখী হবে। সেই ব্যক্তি ঈশ্বরের আজ্ঞা পছন্দ করে।

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!

মনুষ্যে নির্ভর করণাপেক্ষা সদাপ্রভুর শরণ লওয়া উত্তম।

মানুষকে বিশ্বাস করার থেকে প্রভুকে বিশ্বাস করা অনেক ভালো।

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

ধন্য তাহারা, যাহারা তাঁহার সাক্ষ্যকলাপ পালন করে; যাহারা সর্ব্বান্তঃকরণে তাঁহার অন্বেষণ করে।

যারা প্রভুর চুক্তি মানে তারা সুখী। তারা সর্বান্তঃকরণ দিয়ে প্রভুকে মানে।

তোমার সাক্ষ্যকলাপের প্রতি আমার হৃদয় ফিরাও, লোভের প্রতি ফিরাইও না।

কি করে ধনী হওয়া যায় সেই চিন্তার থেকে, আপনার চুক্তি সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করতে আমায় সাহায্য করুন।

তোমার বাক্য আমার চরণের প্রদীপ, আমার পথের আলোক।

সদাপ্রভু তোমার বাহিরে যাওয়া ও তোমার ভিতরে আসা রক্ষা করিবেন, এখন অবধি চিরকাল পর্য্যন্ত।

যখনই তুমি আসবে এবং যাবে তখন প্রভু তোমায় সাহায্য করবেন। প্রভু তোমাকে এখন এবং চিরদিন সাহায্য করবেন!

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

আমি আনন্দিত হইলাম, যখন লোকে আমাকে বলিল, চল, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে যাই।

আমি প্রচণ্ড খুশী হয়েছিলাম যখন লোকে বলেছিলো, “চল আমরা প্রভুর মন্দিরে যাই।”

I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the Lord!"

যাহারা সদাপ্রভুতে নির্ভর করে, তাহারা সিয়োন পর্ব্বতের সদৃশ, যাহা অটল ও চিরস্থায়ী।

যে লোকরা প্রভুতে আস্থা রাখে তারা সিয়োন পর্বতের মত হবে। তারা কখনই কাঁপবে না এবং তারা চিরদিন অব্যাহত থাকবে।

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

দেখ, সন্তানেরা সদাপ্রভু দত্ত অধিকার, গর্ব্ভের ফল তাঁহার দত্ত পুরস্কার।

শিশুরা ঈশ্বরেরই উপহার। তারা হল মায়ের গর্ভ থেকে পাওয়া পুরস্কার।

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

ধন্য সেই জন, যে কেহ সদাপ্রভুকে ভয় করে, যে তাঁহার সকল পথে চলে।

প্রভুর প্রত্যেকটি অনুগামীই সুখী। ঈশ্বর যেভাবে চান তারা সেইভাবেই বাঁচে।

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!

আমি সদাপ্রভুর অপেক্ষা করিতেছি; আমার প্রাণ অপেক্ষা করিতেছে; আমি তাঁহার বাক্যে প্রত্যাশা করিতেছি।

প্রভু আমায় সাহায্য করবেন আমি এই প্রতীক্ষায় রয়েছি। আমার আত্মা তাঁর জন্য প্রতীক্ষা করে। প্রভু যা বলেন আমি তা বিশ্বাস করি।

দেখ, ইহা কেমন উত্তম ও কেমন মনোহর যে, ভ্রাতারা একসঙ্গে ঐক্যে বাস করে।

যখন ভাইরা সঙঘবদ্ধ হয়ে একত্রিত বসে তখন সেটা কত সুন্দর ও মনোরম।

সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা কর, কেননা সদাপ্রভু মঙ্গলময়; তাঁহার নামের উদ্দেশে সঙ্গীত কর, কেননা তাহা মনোহর।

প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর, কারণ তিনি ভালো। তাঁর নামের প্রশংসা কর, কারণ তা অত্যন্ত মনোরম।

You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

তুমি আমার পথ ও আমার শয়ন তদন্ত করিতেছ, আমার সমস্ত পথ ভালরূপে জান।

প্রভু, আমি কোথায় যাই এবং আমি কোথায় শুই তাও আপনি জানেন। আমি যা করি তার সবই আপনি জানেন।

You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

বস্তুতঃ তুমিই আমার মর্ম্ম রচনা করিয়াছ; তুমি মাতৃগর্ভে আমাকে বুনিয়াছিলে।

প্রভু আপনি আমার সারা দেহ সৃষ্টি করেছেন। যখন আমি মাতৃদেহে ছিলাম তখনও আপনি আমার সম্পর্কে সব জানতেন।

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

আমি তোমার স্তব করিব, কেননা আমি ভয়াবহরূপে ও আশ্চর্য্যরূপে নির্ম্মিত; তোমার কর্ম্ম সকল আশ্চর্য্য, তাহা আমার প্রাণ বিলক্ষণ জানে।

প্রভু, আমি আপনার প্রশংসা করি! আপনি অত্যন্ত বিস্ময়-বিহ্বলভাবে ও চমৎকারভাবে আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আমি খুব ভালোভাবে জানি যে আপনি যা কিছু করেছেন সবই চমৎকার।
